These trainings organize and empower faith and immigrant leaders and congregations to increase immigrant participation in making decisions that affect their lives. Through the training process, communities enhance their capacity to effectively engage in citizenship, voter registration and civic education as well as in supporting local and regional efforts that promote immigrant well being. The process includes community mapping and stakeholders' assessments, empowering and educating participants and, at the same time, gathering valuable information about community resources, issues and priorities.

Civic participation and leadership development trainings help identify key unifying statewide campaigns, where ICIR's leadership and involvement can make a difference, and prepare participants to meet the demands of effective collaborative advocacy and mobilization work.
Los entrenamientos de liderazgo y participación cívica ayudan a identificar los hechos claves a nivel estatal, para así determinar las campañas en las cuales la participación y liderazgo de ICIR significarían una ventaja. Al mismo tiempo preparan a los participantes para tener éxito en las campañas cooperativas y de movilización.
